Our menu

The Restaurant offers a seasonal menu, featuring typical fresh early produce from the month you visit.

This careful selection of local produce means that the dishes on the menu are based almost exclusively on ingredients grown or produced on the mountain pastures of the Agordina Cooperative, such as milk and cheeses from the cattle in the Biois Valley and salamis from local butchers, such as Casa Sperandio of Falcade, established in 1900.

Pastry specialities

The Stella Alpina Restaurant is especially proud of its home-made typical local sweet specialities, traditional pastries and the special Sachertorte, a well-known, mouth-watering interpretation of the traditional German cake. Also not to be missed is the home-made ice cream made from milk from the mountain pastures of the Agordo area and small local fruits.

Sacher Torte

The most traditional of chocolate cakes is a speciality of the Hotel Stella Alpina, with the fully rounded flavour of the dark chocolate combining with the soft mouthfeel of the apricot jam and topped with fresh cream from the Belluno valley, for an exquisite blend of flavoursi.

Triple chocolate bavarois

A delicious texture is formed by three soft layers of dark, milk and white chocolate. A perfect sweet treat any time of day, combining the light, frothy mouse with three mouth-watering varieties of chocolate to form a splendid synergy of flavours, complemented by a caramel topping, fresh mountain dairy cream and slivers of chocolate.

Mulled wine bavarois

Mulled wine bavarois is a dessert that combines the traditional bavarois recipe with the innovative flavour of mulled wine, the typical invigorating beverage of the Dolomites. With its distinctive flavour and creamy consistency, this creative speciality is complemented by small local berries.

Linzer Torte

The distinctive flavour of shortcrust pastry with almonds teams with the sweet flavour of the forest berries in this traditional Austrian dessert. Tasty and nourishing, the Linzer Torte is the ideal dessert for those seeking to savour some typical local produce: mountain hazelnuts and small, rigorously local berries.

Chocolate and mint mousse

A light, sophisticated mousse that combines two marvellous textures: dark chocolate and fresh mint with a hint of vanilla. Delicate, frothy and supremely tasty, this dessert is the perfect way to bring a fragrant end to a lunch or dinner.

Selection of three mousses

A triumph of taste is the hallmark of this selection of three mousses: chocolate and mint, vanilla and forest berries and dark chocolate and orange. This fragrant, frothy dessert combines the textures of fruit with chocolate and vanilla, creating three variants not to be missedbili.

    The genuine flavour and goodness of the Stella Alpina Restaurant is guaranteed by the checks carried out at every stage of the production process, with produce sourced from local farmers and breeders.

    For guests with food intolerances, we are happy to prepare gluten-free dishes. The restaurant is open from June to September and from December to March, including the Christmas holidays

    Barbecues with friends

    Grillhütte

    The grillhütte is a traditional German-style hut used for barbecues, for up to 12 people.

    The Stella Alpina Restaurant offers you the chance to spend a special evening with friends, enjoying grilled meat and vegetables. The grillhütte can be booked in both winter and summer, for a price that includes the hire of the hut and the menu of your choice, as well as the firewood for the barbecue and a starter with speck, cheeses, vegetables and polenta for grilling.

    After a day spent in the nature of the Falcade-San Pellegrino tourist area, treat yourself to a cheerful break with friends in the grillhütte, enjoying the flavour of fine food in a cosy, traditional setting.
